Step 1: Discovery

We start by discussing your project and what you think you need.

If you have your project or funnel mapped out with a clear list of all copywriting needs ... great!

If you have only a big picture and need help fleshing out the details ... also great!


We'll explore options, brainstorm, then agree upon what your project will include.

Then it's off to Step 2...

Step 2: Proposal 

Depending on your project needs, we'll recommend one of our copywriting packages or prepare a custom proposal.

(Need someone to handle your ongoing copywriting needs, such as a weekly newsletter, monthly webinar promotions, blog articles, or even daily Seinfeld emails? Ask about our limited-availability retainer services.)

A signed proposal is required to book time on our production calendar, and your deposit must be paid to move to Step 3...

Step 3: Research

Crawling inside the minds of your prospects and customers starts with deep research. 

  • Background material: Help us understand your offer, your audience, and your company. We'll give you a list of what to gather.
  • Product/offer research: Give us access to the thing(s) we're promoting. The more we understand, the better we can connect with your audience. (That said, we can fill in a lot of blanks. Ask Jenny about the entire webinar campaign she wrote based on a 17-word description of what the event "might" cover.)
  • Research interviews. Talking to you (or other team members) - and even your customers - can help us understand how to best connect with your potential buyers.

Minds full, notes taken, and creative juices flowing, it's off to Step 4...

Step 4: Copywriting 

This is where we do our thing ... blending our knowledge of your audience and what makes people tick with insights teased from data and research to craft copy that connects, convinces and converts.

By the time you see the first draft of copy, the work is 90-95% done. You absolutely get the chance to request edits and corrections. By typically. they are minor.

Once you've signed off on the copy, it's time for Step 5...

Step 5: Launch

The copy goes to your funnel builder, website developer, or marketing admin - whoever is responsible for getting it out into the world.

If needed, we're happy to take a peek at the copy once it's up on your site or funnel, just to make sure the design matches our vision of how the copy should be treated.
